This privacy policy is written for www.kitchenfrolic.ca, a website owned and operated by Stephanie Caruso. This policy explains how I collect, manage and protect your personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) data while you browse or use this website.

1. Your Personal Data collected via www.kitchenfrolic.ca (the “Website”)

I only collect Personal Data where you choose to interact with me on the Website in the following ways:
– When you sign up for my RSS feed
– When you enter contests, giveaways and promotions (first name, last name, email address, and if you win, your mailing address)
– When you use the Contact Form (name, email address, any personal data you provide in the Message box)

I will use your Personal Data to:
– respond to your questions, comments and requests
– administer a contest, giveaway and/or promotion

The data collected is by active consent that is received separately from all other requests, and it is not made with a condition to receive other products or services.

2. Retention periods for use of your Personal Data

I will use and store your Personal Data only for as long as necessary, bearing in mind the uses of your Personal Data as described in this privacy policy. I review the Personal Data we hold at regular intervals and permanently delete or anonymize any Personal Data which is no longer necessary.

As noted above, I use Google Analytics on our site. Information collected by Google Analytics is stored for 14 months (by Google) and then deleted.

3. Sharing of your Personal Data

I do not sell or trade your Personal Data to outside parties.

4. Cookies

I use “cookies” on this site to track visits for Google Analytics. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help improve access to the site and identify repeat visitors to the Website. Cookies can also enable the tracking and targeting of interests of users to enhance the experience on the Website. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on the Website.

I use Google Analytics on this Website, which automatically collects certain information when you visit the Website – such as the type of browser and operating system you are using, your location and the domain name of your Internet service provider. We do not link this information with any Personal Data.

5. Site Commenting

If you leave a comment on our site, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form (name, email address and website URL), and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

6. Links, affiliate tracking & commissions

This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that I am not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. I encourage my users to be aware when they leave this Website and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

My affiliate links are served through my advertising partner Amazon Affiliates. Clicking on any affiliate links may track your actions by using a cookie saved to your device. Your actions are usually recorded as a referral from my website by this cookie.
